The gathering honored a partnership rooted in music, mutual respect, and a lifetime of dancing through life together \u2014 and it concluded with a scene guests won\u2019t soon forget.<\/p><p>The finale came when Don and Helen stood up and sang <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/share\/v\/1NtryDuiDp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cI\u2019ll Never Find Another You\u201d<\/a> for everyone in attendance. Their bond grew, and they fell in love on the dance floor. The couple married on December 28, 1949, and 76 years later, they perform together as naturally as ever.<\/p><h2>A Card Drive Turned Community Event<\/h2><p>Julie Tacker, our Director of Engagement at Creston Village, organized a unique card drive to celebrate Don and Helen\u2019s 76th anniversary, aiming for one card for each year of marriage. Thanks to the kindness of our community, <strong>Don and Helen received a total of 96 cards<\/strong> from friends and well-wishers, showing just how many people wanted to honor their love.<\/p><p>\u201cDon and Helen closed their 76th anniversary party by singing for everyone who came, which is exactly the kind of thing they would do,\u201d said Tacker. \u201cWe set a target of 76 cards and ended up with 96 cards, which shows how much people wanted to celebrate them. They met in a church choir, fell in love on a dance floor, and 76 years later, they\u2019re still performing together. We\u2019ll do it again next year for 77.&#8221;<\/p><p>This happy event demonstrated not only an impressive marriage but also the intense feeling of community at Creston Village.
