While searching for ways to foster connection among residents, she saw an opportunity to combine creativity with compassion. Inspired by the mission of Project Linus of Greater Kansas City, a nonprofit known for delivering handmade blankets to children in need, Amanda reached out and began gathering supplies.<\/p><p>\u201cWe wanted to do something tactile \u2014 something that allowed residents to feel their impact,\u201d Amanda shared. \u201cThis wasn\u2019t just about making blankets. It was about stitching love and comfort into every knot, for children who need it most.\u201d<\/p><p>Residents eagerly jumped into the project, starting with soft, fleece tie blankets. The activity was designed to be accessible to everyone, involving simple steps like cutting and knotting the fabric. But what unfolded went far beyond crafting. Stories surfaced. Memories were shared. Connections deepened.<\/p><p>One resident, Janet, beamed as she tied the final knots on her blanket. \u201cIt\u2019s so nice to know a child will be snuggled up with this,\u201d she said.
