Seniors at The Legacy at Cimarron<\/a> are becoming friends with the residents of a local ranch: a horse and donkey. Following a joyful first meeting that brought smiles, stories, and shared memories, the equine duo were well welcomed and loved during the most recent session.<\/p>

For many, it was more than a fun afternoon \u2014 it was a moment of connection. Some recalled childhoods spent around animals, while others simply enjoyed the calm presence of their new friends.<\/p>

\u201cThis experience taps into something deeply emotional and healing,\u201d said Jacob Boggs, Executive Director at The Legacy at Cimarron. \u201cOur residents light up when they see these animals.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The unique sessions are hosted by KNJ Therapeutic Riding<\/a>, a local organization bringing equine-assisted experiences to individuals of all ages across the region.<\/p>

\u201cOur mission is to create meaningful moments,\u201d said Lenora Southerland, Program Director of KNJ Therapeutic Riding. \u201cSeeing their eyes light up, hearing their laughter \u2014 that\u2019s why we do this.
