Hello, I'm Marie,
the Executive Director at Laketown Village.
As a lifelong resident of Kenner with over three decades in health care, I am deeply passionate about working with older adults. My journey began during a nursing home clinical rotation, where I discovered a profound admiration for seniors, whom I see as living history books. After working in a skilled nursing facility until 2005, I transitioned to an Executive Director role in assisted living and have been dedicated to overseeing senior living facilities ever since.
At Laketown Village, I am excited to bring my experience and commitment to creating a community that feels like home—one characterized by kindness, respect, and a strong sense of belonging. I take pride in inspiring our team to provide exceptional care and ensure every resident experiences a fulfilling and comfortable lifestyle.
Family holds a special place in my heart. I am blessed with two sons and three grandchildren. My childhood was enriched by time spent at the fire station with my dad, grandfather, and uncles, all members of the JPFD. This upbringing sparked my love for cooking, and I now enjoy preparing big meals for my family in my spare time.
I believe in leading by example and know that a smile is the shortest distance between two people.
