Families See the Difference Between Us and Nursing Homes in Richmond, TX

- Family Member Google Review

My dad recently moved here after several very bad experiences at other facilities. Unlike many other facilities, we find this facility to be staffed appropriately for the number of residents and the care that needs to be given. The memory care residents can attend the assisted-living activities if they are able. They have a wonderful sports room upstairs with table tennis, darts, and many TVs. My dad is very happy here, and he enjoys playing table tennis while sitting in his wheelchair and listening to the Astros on TV. We are very grateful to have found The Legacy at Long Meadow and have comfort knowing my dad is there and being cared for with compassion and kindness!”

I’m Scott,

the Executive Director, and I have been serving seniors since 1991.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and spent many years living in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I attended the “U” (University of Miami) for undergraduate studies and then received my master’s degree in health services administration from Nova Southeastern University.

I am married to my wonderful wife (who I first met in high school), and after 3 children and 3 grandchildren, we are still together after 29 years! I enjoy time with my family, playing golf, tinkering around on my guitar, and doing “honey-do-lists!”

I began my healthcare career/journey as a licensed nursing home administrator 33 years ago doing what I felt was my “calling” and what I was being led to do by a higher authority… taking care of our elders. I’m glad I listened! My passion and compassion for our residents, staff, and this industry is still burning as bright as it was the day I began my career. I have always said, “Our residents have worked hard, made sacrifices, and helped create a better world for me, my family, friends, associates, and the rest of our nation… they deserve and will receive the best care and services from our team, bar none… this will not be compromised.”

I look forward to getting to know you and your family at The Farrington!

Regards,
Scott Perlman
