At North Point Village, kindness came in the form of cans, boxes, and snack bags. Residents gathered around tables filled with non-perishable foods, carefully packing them for donation to Second Harvest, the local food bank. Each bag included a handwritten note, a simple reminder that someone cares.
“Watching residents organize, write notes, and make sure every bag was ready to go was a meaningful way to see people caring for their neighbors,” said Janine Moore, Executive Director of North Point Village.
From selecting the food items to writing encouraging messages, residents played an active role in every step of the project. Their teamwork and generosity didn’t go unnoticed — FOX 28 Spokane News highlighted their efforts, shining a light on the difference seniors at North Point Village are making right in their city.
The completed snack bags were delivered to Second Harvest, where they’ll soon bring a little comfort — and a lot of kindness — to those who need them most.
