What Is Enhanced Assisted Living?
Evergreen Place holds an Enhanced Assisted Living Residence (EALR) certificate from New York State, which means we can support residents with needs that go beyond those of a standard assisted living community. We can keep licensed nurses on-site to help manage more complex health needs, and we can also coordinate with outside home health care agencies when extra hands are needed, so residents can age in place rather than move to a new community every time their needs shift.
Because care needs vary, our enhanced assisted living community structures services as a tiered, pay-for-what-you-need model. A resident who only needs occasional help, like medication reminders, isn’t billed at the same level as someone who requires daily assistance with bathing, dressing, or mobility. This approach helps residents and families choose a support level that reflects their actual daily needs, rather than a flat rate that covers services a resident may never use.

At our assisted living community, seniors are encouraged to retain their independence while allowing us to provide support with activities of daily living.
Residents live in private apartments, but we handle the housekeeping, laundry, and cooking. Use all that free time to socialize with other residents, take our scheduled transportation into town, or join community activities and excursions scheduled by our Life Enrichment Directors. If you need additional assistance, enhanced certified services are also available. And because we are a pet-friendly assisted living community, your small dog or cat can stay too!
