Our Response to COVID-19

Pegasus Seniors Stay Active During Quarantine

Pegasus Senior Living keeps a sense of normalcy when the world feels anything but normal. From coast to coast, our communities fill residents’ days with classes, social events, and unique exercises. All activities are done with best social distancing practices in place. Residents will meet in small groups or work on self-enriching projects in their residences to maintain a healthy schedule with a variety of options available to them.

Fitness is a very important activity to keep up with during this time. Not only does it keep our seniors’ bodies and minds active, but it gives them something to look forward to. Lakeview of Kirkland in Washington State keeps their residents busy with early morning yoga classes. One resident, Bob, enjoys yoga three times a week. He has been learning some “chair yoga” in his apartment on rainy days, too!

Ridgmar Place, a Pegasus community in Fort Worth, Texas, has been coming up with some interesting activities to keep their seniors busy during quarantine. Residents are practicing floating meditation therapy classes. Residents relax in the community pool with flotation devices while calming sounds fill the space. Only a few seniors take the meditation class at one time to keep social distancing practices in place. It is the perfect activity to enrich the mind, body, and soul!

Pegasus Senior Living communities continue staying active during quarantine. We can’t wait to see what else our communities come up with to provide the best days for our seniors! If you are beginning the search of  senior housing options for yourself or a loved one, there is no better time than now to start this journey.
